The 234th edition of the Merseyside Derby kicks off tonight, and Everton will be looking to upset the odds with a first win at Anfield for 20 years.

On that occasion Everton came out 1-0 victors courtesy of a strike from Kevin Campbell after the Reds had two men sent off.

Liverpool will be suffering from a sending off again tonight, as Alisson Becker misses out after receiving his marching orders in the 2-1 win over Brighton at the weekend.

Spanish stopper Adrian is set to replace the suspended Alisson, with Oxlade-Chamberlain likely to start in the midfield three alongside Gini Wijanldum and skipper Jordan Henderson.

Manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed in yesterday’s press conference that Joel Matip is the only injury omission as he continues his recovery from a knee problem.

Meanwhile Theo Walcott looks set to return for Everton however Fabian Delph and Seamus Coleman will both miss out. Cuco Martina, Andre Gomes and Jean-Phillipe Gbamin will also be absent from the blues match-day squad.

Everton boss Marco Silva will be hoping to relieve some pressure on himself with a positive result, however it doesn’t look good for the Portuguese managers if you take a look at the Toffees recent record against Liverpool. The reds are unbeaten in 17 Premier League matches against their city rivals, with the latter failing to score in 7 of the previous 11 meetings between the two sides.
