Everton have made their first signing on deadline day, by acquiring the signature of Ben Godfrey from Norwich City for 20 million. The defender penned a 5 year deal with the Blues which keeps him with the club until 2025.

Godfrey, who was an integral part of Norwich’s championship winning campaign in 2018/19 played 66 times for The Canaries scoring 4 goals.

He also had a spell at York City before that and has played for both England’s U20’s and U21’s.

Everton’s newest acquisition will wear the number 22 shirt.
