Rangers have won their first title in a decade after Celtic were held to a 0-0 draw today at Dundee united.

After a 3-0 victory on Saturday against St. Mirren and being 20 points clear at the top, Steven Gerrard’s men have clinched the title early with 6 games still left to play of the campaign.

Rangers were relegated to the second division of Scottish football back in 2012 after financial troubles but have been building steadily since then.

Since joining in 2018 Steven Gerrard has won 106 games in 159 and brought the end to Celtics 9-year dominance at the top.

This season Gerrard’s men in blue have been unbeaten all season in the league as well as in Europe showing Gerrard’s tactical capability to adjust to the differences of the league and the Europa league games.

Having topped their group in the European competition and then beating Antwerp in the round 32 9-5 on aggregate, the teddy bears go on to the round 16 against Czech republic’s Slavia Prague.

Rangers hope to go one better this season than last after being knocked out by Bayern Leverkusen in the round 16 in 2020 but they are better now and with this stomping unbeaten form they will expect to go further this time round and go deep into the competition.

The Liverpool job

Jurgen Klopp has been one of the most successful managers at the reds of recent times, if not ever, but with their recent bad form and losing 5 times at home in a row for the first time in history could his place as manager be in doubt.

If this was the case or even in a few years down the line then speculation around Liverpool legend Gerrard becoming the main man has been rife, and with his recent success why not.

The man from Knowsley is the definition of Liverpool playing 504 times for the reds and winning 9 trophies including the 2005 champions league so a return to Anfield would be of great joy for reds fans across Merseyside.

Even though Gerrard has never wanted to state before about becoming the holding premier league champions manager, he will forever be a name within contention especially with his recent success in Scotland.

However, there will always be doubts about Gerrard returning to the kop especially after Lampard’s recent stint as Chelsea boss.

Lampard’s time didn’t go to plan only lasting 18 months at the Stamford bridge and Liverpool fans see this as a worry that Gerrard could do the same.

However, the Chelsea man came straight from a promotion push at derby to head boss at Chelsea but Gerrard has already achieved more bringing glory back to the new Scottish league champions.
