Jurgen Klopp recorded his 200th win as Liverpool manager after their emphatic 5-0 away victory against fierce rivals Manchester United.

The former Borussia Dortmund coach joined Liverpool in 2015 and has never looked back, revolutionising an average squad of players to a team full of world class talent.

Here are some of the best games Klopp has overseen during his tenure on Merseyside:

  1. NORWICH 4-5 LIVERPOOL – 2016

In what is usually a high scoring fixture, this game certainly did not disappoint. Adam Lallana’s 95th minute winner secured the three points in a match that exposed Liverpool’s defensive woes but proved Jurgen Klopp’s abilities to get his team scoring at free will. The back four on the day consisted of Alberto Moreno, Mamadou Sakho, Kolo Toure and Nathaniel Clyne. A slight downgrade on the current backline.

  1. LIVERPOOL 4-3 BORUSSIA DORTMUND – 2016

The trend of 2016 throwing out an array of entertaining matches continued with a thrilling Europa League tie versus German giants, Borussia Dortmund. Liverpool found themselves 2-0 down after just 10 minutes and it was shaping up to be a dismal display. Goals from Phillipe Coutinho, Divock Origi, Mamadou Sakho and finally the late winner from Dejan Lovren cemented a place in the next round.

  1. MANCHESTER UNITED 0-5 LIVERPOOL – 2021

What’s better than beating Man United? Battering Man United. Jurgen Klopp’s men ripped the back four of the opposition defence to shreds. They scored four goals before the half time interval, sending plenty of home fans home before half past five. Mohamed Salah completed his hat-trick just after half-time as Liverpool saw out what could well have been the easiest match of Klopp’s managerial career.

  1. TOTTENHAM 0-2 LIVERPOOL – 2019

This match was, for the neutral and Spurs fans, a very dull affair. However, it is a match that goes down in the history books for Liverpool as the Reds won their sixth European crown in one of the most solid defensive performances under Klopp. Mo Salah slotted home an early penalty with Divock Origi completing the tie with a beautiful left footed strike in the second half. Things have really gotten better since shipping four to Norwich, haven’t they?

  1. LIVERPOOL 4-0 BARCELONA – 2019

Liverpool entered the two-legged Champions League semi-final tie with a deficit of three goals to nil and thus had a mountain to climb. Not to forget the opposition had a certain player called Leo Messi, not sure if you have heard of him. However, Liverpool under the famous Anfield lights can often produce something special. Divock Origi and Georginio Wijnaldum each scored a brace as the reds marched through to the final in style. A game that will struggle to be topped.
