Everton travel to Newcastle tomorrow night in the Premier League for a crucial clash at the wrong end of the table.

Here are three memorable games between the two sides.

9TH March 2019 – Newcastle 3-2 Everton

This game will be remembered for all the wrong reasons for Everton fans and highlighted their poor away record under Marco Silva.

The blues went 1-0 up after 18 minutes when Dominic Calvert-Lewin headed home.

Pickford then gave away a penalty but saved the spot kick from Matt Ritchie.

A few moments later, Richarlison doubled the Toffees’ lead and Everton were ahead at Half-time.

Everton came out well in the second half, but on 65 minutes the Geordies got one back.

Ayoze Perez put the ball in the net before a late Rondon double sunk Everton to a 3-2 away defeat.

21st January 2020 – Everton 2-2 Newcastle

Another poor result for the blues against The Toon, and it was a result that seemed nailed on impossible to happen.

Everton went 1-0 up when Moise Kean got his first goal for the club on the half-hour mark.

Calvert-Lewin then fired home from his weaker left side on 54 minutes and the Blues were in total control of the fixture.

Everton had surely won the game and the referee indicated four minutes of added time.

Centre-back Lejeune got, what seemed like, a consolation goal for the visitors.

A sublime over-head kick in the 94th minute to make the score 2-1.

Less than a minute later, Lejeune put the ball in the back of the net again and the game ended 2-2. An absolute horror show from Everton at Goodison.

2nd January 2013 – Newcastle 1-2 Everton

Despite Everton getting three points away from home, this game will be remembered for one thing and one thing only – Leighton Baines’ 40-yard free-kick.

Everton were trailing 1-0 after two minutes when Papiss Cissé headed the ball home directly from a Tim Krul free-kick.

At this point in the season, Everton had gained 17 points from losing positions. With that in mind, the blues were pushing to get back into the game and did so just before the break.

Left-back and free-kick specialist Baines fired a dead ball from distance into the top left-hand corner. A free-kick that will go down as one of the best ever in the Premier League era.

The second half started with both sides evenly matched and both pushing to get ahead.

Victor Anichebe was introduced by David Moyes in the 58th minute and won Everton the game 90 seconds later.
