Tranmere Rovers welcome Swindon Town tonight at Prenton Park.

The Whites are second in League Two, six points better off than they were at this stage last season.

Micky Mellon’s side have lost just one and drawn two of their last 10 league games as well as boasting the best defensive record this season so far.

The Birkenhead side have kept 16 clean sheets out of a possible 29 with an average of 0.69 goals conceded per match.

In comparison, Liverpool concede an average of 0.86 goals per match.

Rovers side are coming off a 1-1 draw away to Barrow.

Opposition

Swindon Town are one place outside the play-off positions as it stands in their return to League Two.

With just two wins in their last 10 games head coach Ben Garner will be eager to get back on track in hope of gaining promotion.

Head-to-Head

There’s not much to go off with H2H results as they have only played three times since the 18/19 season and Swindon racked up seven points out of the possible nine.

All three fixtures have been split by only the one goal, 3-2, 2-1 and the latest being a goal-less affair 0-0.

Tranmere will be aiming for their first win against Swindon since 2009.
