Liverpool Harriers are finalising their pre-season preparations ahead of the first major indoor competition of the campaign this weekend.

The Northern Indoor Championships take place at the Sheffield Institution of Sport this weekend and will feature athletes from across the Merseyside area and the North of England.

Liverpool athlete Ruachkuoth Ter, who has won national honours for the Netherlands, will line up in the 200m.

The sprinter is eyeing up an opportunity to close in on a sub-21 finish – a time that would place him back into international selection conversation.

Liverpool Harriers training partner, Osaretin Ayomide Ekhoragb, who also trains with Manchester Harriers, will compete in the 60m looking to improve on his previous personal best of 7.11.

The 60m event will take place on the Saturday with the 200m following on Sunday.
