Mikkeller Running Club’s first ‘Tryanuary’ session was held in Maghull, aiming to encourage new people take up running.

The sessions are 5km circuit runs, ran at any peace you feel comfortable with and are designed to encourage runners to keep coming back.

Liverpool-based Mikkeller was founded in 2015 following a trip by club chairman Andrew Carey to a Copenhagen brewery, which had its own running club.

Andrew said: “Everyone’s keen to get their New Years’ resolutions going and running is an easy one to do, all you need is a pair of shoes, top and shorts and you can get going.”

With frequent social events and post-run trips to various pubs and bars across the region, Mikkeller are encouraging their members to have fun whilst running.
