Neal Skupski and Jamie Murray advance to the second round in Shanghai after defeating the Chinese doubles 6-3 6-4.

The all-British duo look to have another strong run this week. Last week they reached the semi-finals of the China Open and defeated the top doubles team in the world in the quarterfinals.

The Shanghai Masters is the last tournament in the Asian swing. The players then return to Europe for the last stretch of the season.

Skupski and Murray will play their second round match on Thursday against the Serbs Novak Djokovic/ Filip Krajinovic. The time is still to be announced.

In singles, Andy Murray continues to make his comeback into the tour after having hip surgery. The former world number one lost in the second round against Italy’s Fabio Fognini in three sets.
