Racing tips are back today, after a day off yesterday. On Tuesday, Tom’s each-way placed. Hopefully today I will deliver some winning tips for you horse racing fans.
Lots of racing today across the United Kingdom and Ireland. In Ireland, there are seven jumps meetings at Thurles, with the first race going off at 12.15.
Elsewhere, there are two flat meetings at Lingfield and Chelmsford. The racing at Lingfield kicks off at 12.10, with the race card at Chelmsford being a late one, beginning at 16.00.
There are also two jumps meetings at Ffos Las and Taunton. The race card in Wales gets underway at 12.25, with the racing from the south-west at Taunton starting at 12.35.
My picks:
NAP – Manofthemountain – 14.15 – Taunton
Two from two when racing in chases, over 3m and 3m 2f respectively. Again racing at Class 4 in a Handicap. Nico De Boinville on board today, one of the best jockeys in the game. Up 6lbs from previous race, but a respected horse who will be in with every chance of winning today. Should run well on the good/soft ground.
NB – Great Khan – 12.50 – Thurles
Running off top weight today. Still looking for his first chase win, which remains elusive. Showing signs of promise with two second place finishes on his last two outings in a chase. Robbie Power on board this E J O’Grady trained horse, should be in with every chance today. The soft ground today won’t be an issue, hopefully picking up his first chase win.
Each-way – Republican – 12.35 – Taunton
Leighton Aspell on board this Oliver Sherwood trained horse today. Eighth on hurdling debut on last outing earlier this month but didn’t jump badly. 25/1 this morning, expected to shorten in price as the race gets closer. Could make first place today.
