Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Liverpool will be without first choice goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, against Bournemouth for Saturday’s lunch time kick-off at Anfield.

Speaking at his press conference earlier today, Klopp revealed the Brazilian will miss out due to a slight hip injury. The Red’s medical staff found the injury following a scan in the week.

Liverpool’s defensive record without Alisson makes for concerning reading. The Red’s have kept just two clean sheets, when back-up ‘keeper Adrian has deputised for the Brazilian.

Adrian made a costly error against Chelsea in mid-week. The former West Ham keeper spilled Willian’s powerful effort to give Chelsea the lead.

Liverpool went on to lose the game and were eliminated them from the FA Cup.

The injury also makes Alisson a doubt for Liverpool’s huge Champions League game, against Atletico Madrid next Wednesday.

The Red’s 1-0 loss at the Wanda Metropolitano in the first leg, means keeping a clean sheet at Anfield is massively important, if Klopp’s side are to progress to the next round. Without Alisson, this task may become just  little bit harder.

It also remains to be seen whether skipper, Jordan Henderson will be available for the Champions League clash.

Jurgen Klopp confirmed the midfield won’t be ready for the Bournemouth game, but Might be available against Atleti.
