Two University of Liverpool graduates have turned a bedroom side hustle into a market leader in just two years.

Leaving university often throws graduates into a real world crash course; bills, rent, and the begrudging 9-5 are the norm up and down the country for millions of degree holders every year.

Now, Harrison Jackson and Raye Bradley, former University of Liverpool students, have broken that mould.

After graduating in 2023, Harrison decided to take a gamble and reject the status quo in favour of combining his love for football with his master’s degree in sports, business and management to create Full Time Fits.

While still in its infancy, Full Time Fits began to develop an online presence on reselling websites such as Vinted and Depop, first specialising exclusively in the resale of classic football shirts before expanding to all football apparel. In the process, they turned their university lodgings into mini warehouses.

When the company grew quicker than expected, things began to stall working solely through third-party websites.

Harrison said: “I got flagged up on Vinted for basically making too much money, but at this point I had put all my eggs in this basket, so we had to diversify.”

It was adapt or die for the entrepreneurial duo who resorted to selling shirts outside of the front of their Mount Pleasant student house to keep the stock flowing.

All this hard work paid off in time for the pair, as they were able to attain spots at the university market, which then progressed to their current home of the Red Brick Market, located in the Baltic Triangle.

Manchester United fan Harrison explained: “Liverpool is one of the biggest footballing cities in the world, and the fact there was no real place to get classic shirts other than the odd one at a charity shop didn’t seem right.”

In 2025, sporting attire evolved from something that is exclusively worn on the pitch into a streetwear subsection, with exclusive streetwear brands such as Stussy championing their own version of iconic football shirts, bringing sportswear into the fashion mainstream.

Harrison said: “The barriers have been broken in terms of when and where you can wear it [football shirts]. A lot of people now feel they can walk down the street or go to the pub in a nice piece, and it’s just the same as wearing a nice designer polo shirt.”

Business partner Raye added: “It’s not just aligned to your own team now either. People are much more comfortable wearing shirts from teams all around the world. It’s become fashion, which was great for us.”

Outside of Liverpool the classic football shirt market is dominated by the aptly named Classic Football Shirts, a company that boasts physical stores in Manchester and London whilst having a back catalogue of tens of thousands of shirts from all around the world on their website.

The two companies went head-to-head in the summer following a pop-up store being unveiled by CFS to celebrate Liverpool FC’s partnership with Adidas. This, although admittedly frightening, was something that the University of Liverpool alumni relished.

Harrison commented: “It brought more buzz to the city, and a lot of people who went there [Classic Football Shirts pop-up] came here and were quite complimentary of our operation.

“They had celebrity guests and all sorts, which is why a shirt that is £60 in our shop might be £150 in there. It showed people that we stand out and look better, if anything.”

Despite the emerging rivalry between the two companies, both Harrison and Raye stressed their admiration of competitors CFS.

Harrison continued: “We use it as a benchmark to try and better them. We want to close that gap between us and them.

“If you want a specific item, go on CFS because they will have it; it may be a crazy price, but they will have it.

“Our thing is if you want something nice but don’t know what you want, then come to us; we have a great selection of clothing and shirts that are desirable teams, good sizes and a fair price. It’s more of a shopping experience.”

The future looks bright for Full Time Fits, as they have continued to progress from a Vinted venture to a fully-fledged company that is making waves in the industry.

The duo has recently taken on their third full-time employee and aims to open their own store on Bold Street in the not-so-distant future before expanding to multiple cities.

Harrison expressed: “Liverpool will always be its birthplace, and we will always aim to have a presence in Liverpool.

“I’d advise anyone who is starting their own business to start in Liverpool, as it’s such a special place that gets behind small independent rather than big commercial stores.”
