However, there are fears that this success is not going to help grassroots level teams and leagues due to pub closures throughout Liverpool, and there are legitimate worries that the darts scene is declining.

This winter, the PDC’s Darts World Championships announced that for the first time, the prize money for the tournament winner had surpassed £1 million.
