Luke Littler edged past Michael Van Gerwen 6-5 to reach the final at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.
Littler continued the good run of form he showcased in the quarter-final and bossed the first leg to take the lead but Van Gerwen hit straight back to make it one a piece.
The world number one missed out on the big fish in the second, hitting single bull, and Van Gerwen capitalised on the double to lead two legs to one.
Van Gerwen, who had been clinical on the doubles against Josh Rock in the quarter-final, carried on his consistency on the outer ring and hit double sixteen to lead by two legs.

Littler, who now trailed by two legs, refused to bow down and hit double tops to check out 100 to survive in the match.
An eleven-darter response from Littler set the tone to make it three all in what was a very competitive semi-final.
It was Van Gerwen’s turn to hit back with an eleven-darter, causing more doubt in who was going to win at this stage.
“Mighty” Van Gerwen crashed in his eighth 180 and hit the double at the first time of asking in the leg to lead 5-4.
“The Nuke” survives a match dart and produced a sparkling display in the tenth to force a deciding leg.
Littler stayed calm under pressure and finished on tops to advance to the final where he’ll face Jonny Clayton.
