South Liverpool’s home fixture against Steeton AFC was postponed shortly before kick-off after visiting players discovered personal items had been taken as they were warming up. The afternoon on Jericho Lane turned sour when Steeton’s players discovered personal belongings had been taken from their changing room before North West Counties League North Division clash.

Paul Carden has left Warrington Town after five years in charge to join AFC Telford United of the National League North. Shortly after Warrington’s 2-2 draw against Mickleover Sports, the club announced they had been approached and talks were taking place with the manager.

Litherland REMYCA will play their games at Bootle FC after their Litherland Sports Park ground was damaged in a storm. The temporary arrangement will see Litherland REMYCA staging home games at the Berry Street Stadium until their home ground is repaired.

October is Black History Month, which recognises the history and achievements of people from African or Caribbean heritages, and to educate people about the effects of racism. Marine FC defender Josh Solomon-Davies was born in St Lucia in the Caribbean before moving to Birkenhead aged just seven.
