Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg will motor into Anfield tonight full of confidence ahead of the Champions League clash with Liverpool.

And current holders Liverpool will be looking to make a statement after their 2-0 loss to the Italian side, Napoli, last time out.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed at yesterday’s press conference that both Joël Matip and Xherden Shaqiri will definitely not be fit but the rest of the team is fine.

Klopp also touched on the current status of Brazilian keeper, Alisson, and said he is not fit to train yet but there is a possibility he could be back for the clash against Manchester United.

And he made it clear tonight’s fixture will not be an easy one, especially after the Austrian side beat previous champions league opponents, Genk.

He went onto say that Salzburg are a “young, exciting team and it is full of power, and full of excitement about the opportunity to be part of the tournament”.

Both Sadio Mane and Klopp admitted it would not be an easy fixture, especially with star man, Erling Braut Håland, who scored a hat-trick in their opening Champions League fixture.

Fans will not know what to expect for the first home game but will be expecting a win to bounce back from the loss against Napoli.
