Southport have been drawn against Stourbridge or South Shields in the first round proper of the FA Trophy.

The Sandgrounders, who came-from-behind to beat Colne 3-2 in the third qualifying round on Saturday, will once again visit lower-ranked competition in the next round.

Stourbridge and South Shields meet in their third qualifying round tomorrow night, with the Glassboys beating Lancaster City in the second qualifying round on Saturday to set up blockbuster tie against Shields, who are top of the Northern Premier League.

If that tie is drawn, the two sides will replay this coming Saturday in a bid to host Southport on the weekend of 14th December 2019.

Southport reached the final of this competition in 1998, losing to Cheltenham Town at Wembley Stadium.
