Manchester City will be without Sergio Aguero on Saturday when they face rivals Manchester United.

The City boss had previously said that it would be “a miracle” if the striker was to recover from his thigh injury in time for United.

The Argentine has been on the sideline since being subbed off in City’s 2-1 win over Chelsea in November. Since losing Aguero the defending Champions have drawn both their games. A 1-1 draw in the Champions League and a 2-2 at Newcastle show Pep’s team are struggling without the talisman.

The blues will have to face an in trouble United side without their top goal scorer who has netted nine times already this season. City currently sit third in the table, 11 behind leaders Liverpool. Before hosting their cross-town rivals, Pep’s side will face a stubborn Burnley tomorrow.

Aguero is just another casualty in City’s season with Laporte, Sane and Zinchenko all watching on from the stands.
