A new mural of legendary Liverpool manager Bill Shankly has been painted by talented local artist Paul Curtis.

The art work, completed in time for the Everton clash, is at Hotel Tia, a LFC themed hotel on Anfield Road.

The striking mural is the latest on display on Merseyside, imagination fired, not just by Liverpool and Everton legends. Tranmere have tributes to Danny Holmes, Johnny King and Les Parry, who all have links to The Woodchurch Estate on The Wirral.

Shankly’s grandaughter Karen Elizabeth Gill  helped with the design which shows the Scot with his hands up in the air in celebration in front of Anfield’s Shankly Gates.

The mural is getting rave reviews from Liverpool fans.
