A Merseyside-based boxer has seen his clash brought to the main event after a late pullout for BOXPARK’s Friday evening event.
Merseyside native Bomo Brown’s (5-0, 2KO) clash with Will Howe (4-1, 0KO) has been elevated to the top of the bill.
The undefeated heavyweight will look to extend a streak of two consecutive wins by knockout, with his opponent looking to get back in the win column after dropping a decision in July.
The fight is scheduled for six, three minute rounds.
Brown, originally from Northwest London, now fights out of Liverpool after training under Paul Stevenson at Everton Red Triangle Boxing Club.
Known as ‘Bomber’, he is currently signed by Frank Warren’s Queensbury Promotions.
Liverpool’s Kurtis ‘Wiggo’ Wiggins was originally scheduled to take to the squared circle in a highly anticipated rematch against Kerim Agius. Agius remains the only blemish on his record as the pair fought to a draw in Wiggins’ second professional bout in June 2024.
The promotion, BlockOne Sports, claimed the original main event was cancelled due to ‘circumstances beyond our control’, and it is assumed the rematch will be rescheduled for a later date.
Luke Turner (17-3, AM) will make his highly anticipated professional debut on the card. The Warrington-born middleweight holds three national titles to his name and hopes to hit the ground running in his first fight since also signing with Queensbury in July.
Turner told the Warrington Guardian: “To be honest, there was no plan B. I’ve been 100% in; boxing had to work out. I want to be world champion and go down as a big name in the sport.”
Lucas Biswana (4-0, 1KO) will also look to keep his professional record squeaky clean as the Liverpudlian faces Mexico’s Ramiro Garcia Lopez (8-28, 7KO). Lopez, while winless in his last fourteen, will prove a strong test as the seasoned journeyman will show whether Biswana is ready for a big step up in competition.
Other Merseyside fighters on the card include Ethan Brown (8-0, 3KO), Sean Arkwright (8-1, 0KO), Brad Strand (12-2, 3KO) and James Heneghan (13-0, 1KO).
All fighters on the card have made weight amid no reported complications with the full card available below, despite not including the updated main event.
