Liverpool will look to bounce back from their 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest at the weekend when they face PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League at Anfield.

As it stands, the Reds sit eighth in the league phase of the competition after winning three of their opening four games.

The visitors have a mixed record in Europe this season, winning one and drawing two after losing to Union Saint-Gilloise at home in the opening round of fixtures.

Heading into the Wednesday night tie, Arne Slot will be without three of his squad with Jeremie Frimpong, Conor Bradley and Florian Wirtz all out injured with the German international out for an unknown period.

Therefore, with no recognised right back at his disposal, the Dutch head coach will most likely rely on Dominik Szoboszlai again to fill the gap on the right side of defence.

Joe Gomez is also available for selection despite limited game time this season for the Premier League champions.

At the opposite end of the pitch, Mohamed Salah is set to make his 90th European appearance for Liverpool becoming only the fourth player to reach the landmark behind Jamie Carragher, Steven Gerrard and Sami Hyypia.

Victory for Slot’s side would see them move to 12 points from five games in the Champions League pushing them closer to a guaranteed round of 16 spot.
