It’s no secret that Liverpool’s performances this season have been far from consistent, with the title holders losing two games within the first seven games.
The Reds’ wins have not been smooth either, as three Premier League games were only won in the last five minutes.
Even though they are second in the Premier League, some fans have called their form into question.

Made with Flourish
Liverpool’s win rate percentage has dropped nearly 15%, compared to this time last season in their title winning campaign.
Fans have speculated that this is due to reasons such as Mohamed Salah’s dip in form and Arne Slot’s inability to find a right-back replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who departed for Real Madrid on a free transfer last summer.
Mo Salah did not win a single duel, complete a take-on or have a shot on target vs. Chelsea. He had the fewest touches (35) of any outfielder who played 90 minutes.

Even with Liverpool having one of their most expensive transfer windows in recent years, £446.5m according to Sky Sports the squad seem unsettled up to the international break.
Slot hasn’t started the same right back in seven consecutive games, with Conor Bradley, Domonic Szoboszlai and Jeremie Frimpong all playing there so far this season.
Bradley was favoured by fans to replace Alexander-Arnold and started in the position for both Premier League defeats against Chelsea and Crystal Place.
The difficulty with Liverpool’s defence is clear through the nine goals they have conceded so far, compared to just the two goals last October.

Data from Soccer Stats and the Guardian
Slot’s side had only conceded two goals this time last season, which came against Wolves and Nottingham Forest, compared to the nine goals that they have this season.
Further up the field Salah has also struggled with his form, as fans and pundits demand change to the front three.

Statistics shows that Salah’s performance has weakened across all categories. Most significantly, the number of goals and assists produced per 90 minutes.
But the Egyptian international can still find the net. He has the same number of goals in the Premier League compared to last October.
The number 11 won his fourth Premier League golden boot last season, equalling Thierry Henry’s record.
With 31 Premier League games left to play for The Reds, they shouldn’t be written off.
Over the international break, Slot now has to decide his favoured starting 11, and who he thinks will retain Liverpool’s Premier League title.
